Important information about General Election on 12 December

On Thursday 12 December 2019 voters in South Lanarkshire will go to the polls for the UK Parliamentary General Election.

Polling stations will be open from 7am – 10pm – please make sure you are registered to vote.

Don't wait until the deadline!

If you're not registered to vote apply NOW.

If you wish to vote by post apply NOW.

If you need to check you are registered to vote, contact the Electoral Registration Office.

If you are already registered, you will receive your poll card on or around Thursday 21 November 2019.

If you have not registered yet, you must register before Tuesday 26 November to vote in this election.

You will then receive your poll card on or around Wednesday 4 December.

If you register for a postal vote before Tuesday 12 November and you will receive your postal vote on or around Thursday 28 November.

If you register for a postal vote between Wednesday 13 November and 5pm on Tuesday 26 November and you will receive your postal vote on or around Wednesday 4 December.

The deadline for applying to appoint a proxy is 5pm on Wednesday 4 December.
