New Cross car park closes this weekend

This is an external view of the entrance to the New Cross Shopping Centre car park which is closing from midnight on Sunday 31 May

The car park at New Cross Shopping Centre in Hamilton will be permanently closed from midnight this Sunday (May 31).

The shopping centre has been closed since the end of April.

The site forms a strategic part of the Hamilton Town Centre Masterplan.

Council staff have concluded feasibility work as the first stage for delivery of future development proposals.  

Work is currently being instructed to take it to the next stage of design development and demolition.

Other alternative car parking options are available across the town centre.
