A great deal of pride by pupils at a primary school and nursery class has been highlighted by an inspection team.
The report by Education Scotland praised St Bride's Primary School and Nursery Class after its inspectors visited the school in Cambuslang.
The inspectors were impressed with the attitude of the pupils, showing confidence, happiness, enthusiasm and a great sense of pride in their learning community.
The school’s strong foundation in Gospel values and the inclusive, respectful environment for learning was also highlighted in the report.
And the commitment by staff to ongoing training and development also reflected a consistent and high-quality learning experience for all children, making them feel safe, valued, and ready to learn.
Louise Torrance, Head Teacher at St Bride's Primary School and Nursery Class, said: “I am very proud of all the dedicated staff and enthusiastic pupils throughout our school and nursery class following our recent positive inspection by HMIe.
“The inspectors saw that our children are happy, confident, and enthusiastic about their learning experiences. They are proud to be part of the school community, which fosters a sense of belonging and togetherness.”

During their visit, the children told the inspectors they take an active role in decision-making through the Leaders of Learning Groups, where their views are not just heard, but are genuinely valued, respected, and listened to by both peers and staff.
Councillor Gavin Keatt, Acting Chair of the council’s Education Resources Committee, said: “I am sure head teacher Louise Torrance and her team will be delighted that the report highlighted the very positive and supportive relationships throughout the school and nursery, as well as that of the families and wider community.
“I have no doubt that everyone at the school will work very hard to ensure all curricular activities are maintained and improved upon throughout all the pupils’ educational journeys.”
