Musical celebration to help charities
Published: Tuesday 7 October 2025
A spectacular musical showcase is set to take place at Hamilton Town House at the end of this month.
Hosted and headlined by Pop Idol winner Michelle McManus and Britain’s Got Talent sensation Edward Reid, the Touch a Life Make a Difference Extravaganza will take place from 7pm on Saturday 25 October.
Led by Provost Margaret Cooper and partnered by the Lord Lieutenant of Lanarkshire’s office, this year’s Touch a Life Make a Difference initiative will raise funds for Sense Scotland and The Guide Dogs for the Blind Association, along with six other local charities: Hamilton Churches Drop In Centre, Bothwell Futures, The Haven Centre, Forth, East Kilbride and District Dementia Carers Group, Who Dares Cares and Rutherglen Community Carers.
The event at the Town House will also feature Soundsational, South Lanarkshire Schools’ Choir, South Lanarkshire Schools’ Jazz Band, the Strathaven Strummers, Karen Bordon Dance Academy and many more acts.
Provost Cooper said: “I hope as many people as possible will come along to this event, not only supporting some wonderful charities, but also enjoying an evening of fantastic musical performances.
“We have already raised a significant amount so far, but I hope this event pushes our total even higher.”
Tickets for the event, costing £15 or £10 for concessions, are available from the SLLC Box Office or by calling the Town House on 01698 452299.
