Nominations in for by-election

There will be 10 names on the ballot paper for the Hamilton, Larkhall and Stonehouse constituency by-election.
Nominations closed at 4pm today for the Scottish Parliament poll, which will take place on Thursday 5 June.
Candidates have been put forward by Reform UK, the Scottish Conservative and Unionist Party, the Scottish Family Party, the Scottish Green Party, the Scottish Labour Party, the Scottish Liberal Democrats, the Scottish National Party, the Scottish Socialist Party, and the UK Independence Party, plus one Independent candidate.

Constituency Returning Officer Paul Manning said: “Any eligible voter aged 16 or over who lives in the constituency will be able to take part in this by-election, with the deadline to be registered to vote set at midnight on Monday 19 May 2025.”
