Pupils delighted with Community wish list boost

A Parent Council has secured £700 of sensory equipment through the council’s Community wish list.
High Blantyre Primary School Parent Council applied to the wish list for help in kitting out the school’s additional support needs base – and e-commerce education company, Findel UK, responded.
As a result, a selection of specialist items designed to help pupils make the very best of the sensory space is now available to them.
Susan Lindner-Kelly, Chairperson, explained: “We are delighted with the fantastic sensory equipment for pupils in our supported classes.
“The children will love using these resources in their classrooms and are already very fond of the large glow-in-the-dark beanbags. Everyone is extremely grateful that our community wish was granted.”
Neil Scally, Key Account Manager at Findel, said: “The wishlist initiative provides a meaningful framework for selecting projects that resonate with our company's values and enable us to contribute to the well-being of local communities.
“We are grateful for the opportunity and look forward to continued collaboration to make a lasting difference.”
Chair of the Finance and Corporate Resources Committee, Councillor Lesley McDonald, said: "This is another great example of the Community wish list and the unique and individual benefits it can bring to local communities and organisations.”
Local community groups can submit a wish via the council website, by email, or by calling 0303 123 1017.
