Air quality action plan consultation
Published: Friday 19 April 2024
South Lanarkshire Council is consulting on what should be included in a new air quality action plan.
The action plan covers the whole of the council area and will last from this year until 2029.
The council has an air quality story map on its website and this is an easy way to learn about what air pollution is, how it affects us and all the work the council is doing to improve air quality.
Chair of the council’s Community and Enterprise Resources Committee, Councillor Robert Brown, said: “Improving the air quality across the area is a priority for the council.
“We have made huge improvements over recent years, and we will continue to monitor areas to ensure that improvement is sustained.
“We can all do our bit to help improve air quality, starting by taking part in this consultation.”
You can view the current action plan online, and the consultation will run for six weeks before closing on Tuesday 28 May.
You can provide your comments via the customer service enquiry form.
