Rural Conference date for next year confirmed
Published: Tuesday 12 December 2023
The date for the 2024 Lanarkshire Rural Conference has been confirmed.
The conference will take place from 10am at the New Lanark Mill Hotel on Thursday 29 February 2024.
Building on the success of this year’s event, community groups across rural Lanarkshire are being invited to save the date for 2024.
Chair of the council’s Community and Enterprise Resources Committee, Councillor Robert Brown, said: “The Lanarkshire Rural Conference has become a vital event in the calendar for rural businesses and community groups.
“For the 2024 event, attendees will be able to see and hear about community projects in the rural area and learn of the opportunities provided by Community Benefit Funds, including from the windfarms and the Scottish Government’s Community-led Local Development fund.
“The event will provide an opportunity to network and see developments in rural travel, employability, volunteering and youth activities and many other subject areas of interest to rural communities.”
Further conference detail and invites will be circulated nearer the event, but potential attendees and stall holders can express their interest now by emailing the council.
