Support Poppyscotland and hear classic film scores
Published: Friday 8 September 2023

An evening of music from famous film and TV shows is coming to Lanark Memorial Hall next week.
The Band of the Royal Regiment of Scotland will be playing some of the most recognisable film scores, from classics like Cockleshell Heroes, Braveheart and James Bond to feel-good family films such as Frozen.
The 43-piece band consists of top-class musicians playing a range of instruments including brass, woodwind and percussion and are fresh from their performances at The Royal Edinburgh Military Tattoo and The King’s Coronation.
This concert series is in partnership with Poppyscotland. Each year Poppyscotland and the Band of the Royal Regiment of Scotland work together to perform in venues across Scotland in a bid to raise funds and awareness of Poppyscotland, and the work they do to support our Armed Forces community.
The event takes place from 7.30pm at Lanark Memorial Hall on Friday 15 September.
Tickets cost £15 or £12 for concessions and are available by calling 01555 673199 or visiting the SLLC Box Office.
The Royal Regiment of Scotland (SCOTS) were recently awarded the Freedom of South Lanarkshire.
