Still time to get your treasure trail tokens
Published: Wednesday 2 August 2023

There are still some bike hire tokens left for anyone wishing to take part in a treasure trail.
The tokens are worth one hour’s free bike hire to encourage anyone thinking of taking up cycling for leisure or even for commuting. The scheme covers a variety of bicycles including those adapted for a variety of needs.
The treasure trail, which takes place around Strathclyde Park and Palace Grounds, Hamilton, has eight questions contained within an App called WALKCYCLE4AIR which was relaunched on Clean Air Day 2023 and is available from the Google or Play store.
After downloading the App, participants follow a trail on their phone and once they have answered all the questions they can submit their entry on the App.
Five winning entries drawn at random will win £100 in Halfords vouchers.
Along with a variety of other hints and tips on playing your part to promote cleaner air, the App also contains 13 walking and cycling routes from both North and South Lanarkshire areas in and around the Park and Palace Grounds.
Please be aware photographic ID will be required when redeeming the bike tokens for the bike hire promotion. ID must also have something with your address so that you can hire the bikes.
The treasure trail will close on Sunday 27 August 2023.
