Number of roads in area affected by flooding

Various roads across South Lanarkshire are closed or affected by flooding.
Although the forecast is for the rain to ease this evening, flooding issues are likely to remain throughout the day as teams on the ground continue to monitor, and respond to, incidents.
As at 3pm today (December 30) the following roads are closed with diversions in place:
- Castle Avenue, Bothwell
- Mossneuk Road, East Kilbride
- Overton Road, Cambuslang
- B7086 Sandford at crossroads junction with Roman Road and Sandford Road
- A70 Uddington to Hyndford Bridge (no access to Rigside)
- Boat Bridge, Thankerton at River Clyde
- B7016 – Carnwath to Medwin Water
- Biggar Mill Road, Biggar
The following roads are also affected:
- Woodfoot Road, Hamilton
- A71 near Radstone Hotel, Larkhall - flooding both sides of the road
- Carscallan Road heading to Quarter - flooding in some areas
- Howard Avenue, East Kilbride
- Landemer Drive, Rutherglen
- Minor access road to 141 Glasgow Road (Scottish Orthodontic Centre), East Kilbride
- Rosebank and Kirkfieldbank caravan park
- Powmillon Burn, Bridge Street, Strathaven
- School Road, Sandford
- Various roads in Lamington Village
We will continue working with colleagues from SEPA throughout the day and into tonight and will post updates on affected roads as we get them.
