Area Committee grants help groups across EK

The latest round of community grants from the East Kilbride Area Committee has been agreed by the council.
In total 12 groups were awarded just under £4,000.
The following groups were all awarded Community Grants:
- The Midweek Walking Group – £360 for an outing, administration and publicity costs
- Stonehouse Men’s Shed - £300 for equipment and materials
- Allers Allotments Association – £240 for materials
- Stonehouse Senior Citizens’ Pavilion – £300 for an outing
- Strathaven Agricultural Exposition – £420 for administration and publicity costs
- East Kilbride Visually Impaired Group – £357.40 for an outing and equipment
- Strathaven Choral Society – £400 for an outing, entrance fees, administration and publicity costs
- Lammermoor Allotment Association – £300 for equipment and materials
- East Kilbride Twins and Triplets Club – £350 for entrance fees
- St Ninian’s Parish Church Guild – £300 for entrance fees
- Stonehouse Heritage Group – £264 for equipment
- Strathaven Balloon Festival – £360 for equipment
