Representative sought to help promote Religious Education

We are looking for a third religious representative to serve on the council’s Education Resources Committee.
The committee meets every eight weeks and already has a Church of Scotland and Roman Catholic Church representative.
Under the Local Government (Scotland) Act 1973 any person, church or denominational body which has a duly constituted charge or other regular place of worship in South Lanarkshire, is invited to present a nominee for the post.
All nominations must be in writing and either emailed to the Chief Executive or posted to: Chief Executive, South Lanarkshire Council Offices, Almada Street, Hamilton, ML3 0AA.
Nominations must be submitted by 12 August 2022 and provide:
- Full name and address of the person nominated
- Statement by the nominee (or the church or denominational body) stating the reasons why they wish to join the committee and what benefits they would bring
- Any additional information which would be helpful in the selection process, such as the number of members of the church or denominational body
