Grants awarded to community groups in Clydesdale

The latest round of community grants from the Clydesdale Area Committee has been agreed by the council.
One grant was awarded as a playscheme grant, while a further 12 were awarded as community grants.
The group receiving the playscheme grant was Lanark Universal Connections who were awarded £600.
The following groups were awarded Community Grants:
- Kirkfieldbank Homing and Sporting Club, Lanark – £270 for equipment, administration and publicity costs
- Scottish Retired Teachers Association – Clydesdale Group, Braidwood – £250 for an outing and entrance fees
- Elsrickle Women’s Rural Institute, Biggar – £200 for an outing
- Clydesdale Community Concert Band, Carluke – £720 for equipment
- Barn Buddies Community Interest Company, Carluke – £250 for start-up costs
- Wild Things Scotland CIC, Biggar – £600 for equipment and materials
- Cargill House Club, Lanark – £200 for an outing
- Abington Bowling Club – £300 for equipment
- Crawfordjohn Public Hall Association – £500 for equipment
- St Nicholas Pre-School Playgroup, Lanark – £480 for materials
- Leadhills Silver Band – £500 for equipment
- Lanark and District Archaeological Society – £250 for an outing and entrance fees
