Area Committee grants help groups across EK

The latest round of community grants from the East Kilbride Area Committee has been agreed by the council.
Five grants were awarded to groups as playscheme grants, while a further nine were awarded as community grants.
The groups receiving the playscheme grants were Special Needs Adventure Playground (SNAP) who were awarded £400, Strathaven After School Club, Moss Out of School Service, East Kilbride Universal Connections and Playcare Out of School Care, who were all awarded £600.
The following groups were all awarded Community Grants:
- Agape Wellbeing – £550 for an outing, entrance fees and materials
- 17th East Kilbride Brownie Pack – £440 for an annual outing and materials
- Coffee, Chat and Company – £250 for start-up costs
- The Acting Bairns of Stonehouse (TABS) – £250 for an outing and entrance fees
- 17th East Kilbride Guides – £535 for an outing, entrance fees and specialist transport
- Hunter Ladies’ Bowling Club – £200 for an annual outing
- East Kilbride Sports Club – £540 for equipment
- Chapelton Silver Circle – £200 for an outing
- University of the Third Age (U3A) – £200 for an outing
