Investment to improve road surface
Published: Monday 6 June 2022
Significant investment of £235,000 is to be spent improving a road in Clydesdale.
The B7078 will be closed for seven days from Monday 13 June at 7am until 6pm on Sunday 19 June to allow the essential resurfacing to take place.
The road will be closed between the B740 and Red Moss Service Road.
No motor vehicles (except those engaged in the work and emergency service vehicles) will be able to park or drive on the road during this time.
A signed diversion route will be in place via the A702, A73, A70 and B7078.
Chair of South Lanarkshire Council’s Community and Enterprise Resources Committee, Councillor Robert Brown, said: “We would ask drivers to plan ahead and allow extra time if they are affected by these essential works.
“I am sure road users will be delighted at the improvements when the works are complete, but we would ask for patience while the closure is in place.”
