What is your understanding of adult protection?

That’s just one of the many questions South Lanarkshire Adult Protection Committee (SLAPC) is asking in a survey open to everyone across the area.

SLAPC has a responsibility to ensure those who are or may be at risk of harm are supported and protected. The role of the SLAPC also raises awareness in relation to Adult Support and Protection.

Chair of the Committee, Safaa Baxter, said: “As part of our responsibilities, we have developed a community survey to see what people know about the Adult Support and Protection (Scotland) Act 2007.

“We want to know what knowledge you already have in relation to the Act and identify any ongoing learning and developmental needs.”

The information gathered will be used by SLAPC to continue to improve public information and community engagement in relation to adult support and protection within South Lanarkshire.

The survey is now online and will be available until Thursday 7 April.
