Four job fairs to take place across area
Published: Wednesday 13 October 2021
It’s never too early – or late – to think about your career.
And a number of job fairs are set to take place across South Lanarkshire that can help you decide on your next move.
Local employers with current vacancies will be in attendance.
There will also be information on jobs and Kickstarter schemes with South Lanarkshire Council, as well the opportunity to discuss employability support with council staff.
Chair of the council’s Finance and Corporate Resources Committee, Councillor Gladys Miller, said: “If you are looking for work then these job fairs will provide the opportunity for you to talk directly to local employers as well as finding out about what the council can offer.
“There is no need to pre-book, feel free to drop in at a time and location that suits you.
“We are aware that many local businesses are facing skills shortages and that many residents are finding themselves at the end of the furlough scheme or unemployed.
“We’re looking to help match up local jobs to local people.”
The job fairs will all be running between 11am and 3pm on the following dates and locations:
• Friday, 22 October – Chatelherault Lodge, Chatelerhault Country Park, Hamilton, ML3 7 UE
• Friday, 29 October – Hamilton Accies FOY Stadium, Hamilton, ML3 0FT
• Friday, 5 November – CTEC Building, 1-15 Main Street, Cambuslang, G72 7 EX
• Friday, 12 November – EK Work and Training Hub, The Plaza, East Kilbride
