Meet Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde in East Kilbride
Published: Thursday 19 May 2022
If you like your Saturdays with a side of gothic horror then East Kilbride Arts Centre has just the evening out for you.
The venue will play host to an adaptation of Robert Louis Stevenson’s classic ‘Dr. Jekyll and Mr Hyde’ on Saturday 28 May in what will be the show’s sole South Lanarkshire performance.
Isosceles Productions debuted their version of one of the world’s best-known stories in 2006 and have toured it to packed audiences across the UK and Ireland ever since.
Described as a ‘fast-paced adaptation’, the show presents its take on Stevenson’s fascination with the struggle between good and evil and focuses on the doomed experiment by the respectable Dr Jekyll to release the demon within…ultimately unleashing a malevolent force that possesses his body and soul.
A dark but deeply enthralling tale, 'Dr.Jekyll and Mr Hyde' will appeal to fans of the genre, old and new, and promises to deliver a spine-tingling evening of entertainment.
There are still a few tickets remaining for the performance on Saturday 28 May at 7:30 pm, priced at £12.50 (£10.50) concession through the online box office or from the venue directly.
