Lanark Memorial Hall will host a big weekend of live music this October.

As the world of theatre and entertainment continues to emerge from more than 18 months of lockdown, the line-up promises to be a real treat for lovers of the stage.

Over an afternoon and two evenings – on October 7, 8 and 9 – the Royal Burgh will be moving to the rhythm of some of the best loved songs ever written.

First up, you can spend a nostalgic Thursday afternoon in the company of the ‘Doris Day Songbook'. Doors open at 1.30pm on Thursday 7th for this sensational show paying homage to an undisputed Hollywood Great.

The Lanark audience will be treated to more than 20 of Doris Day’s best-known hits, all interwoven with stories, anecdotes, and memories of the life of one of the 20th century’s best loved actor/singers. And if that wasn’t nostalgia enough, the show adds male voices, film projection and live music from the ‘Day at Night’ band to really evoke those classic bygone days of movies and music.

The tempo will change completely when the one and only 'Showaddywaddy' take their place on the Lanark stage on Friday 8th (doors 7.30pm). Now in their fifth decade of performing, the group has undergone a number of line-up changes but can still belt out the hits that have sold them more than 20million records worldwide.

Sing, laugh and reminisce as you enjoy classics such as ‘Under the Moon of Love’, Three Steps to Heaven’ and ‘Little Angel Eyes’, to name just a few on what promises to be an uplifting and fun night out.

Rounding off this must-see weekend is the music of the most successful group the world has ever seen – as the ‘Magic of the Beatles’ rolls into town. Saturday 9th at 7:30pm is the date and time you’ll need for your diary if you are keen to reignite your love of live music with an authentic lively dose of Beatlemania.

The Magic of The Beatles is one of the UK’s leading Beatles tributes shows, playing to sell-out audiences all over the world. The stars of this lavish production not only look and sound like John, Paul, George and Ringo, they also generate the same incredible excitement and unique sense of humour, while performing all of the 'Fab Four' hits you know and love.

Tickets are still available for all three shows costing £23 for The Magic of the Beatles; £23/£22 concession for Showaddywaddy, and £16/£14 concession for the Doris Day Songbook. Just contact or log on to the SLLC box office to secure yours today.
